Winston and the astro-dogs

Written by

If you found something amazing, would you share it?

Winston, Yuri, Dee Dee and I.Q, four specially trained dogs, are sent into Space to help save mankind. Unfortunately one of them doesn’t think mankind is very kind…

Winston, the reluctant hero is not having a good day. He is standing in his Astro-suit, in an air-lock on the Space ship the ‘Tin Can,’ and is about to be ejected into deep Space.

“I’m about to become the first Bungee jumping space dog,” grumbles Winston, a Bull dog from East London, who always believes in ‘self preservation.’

And it is Winston who later makes a fantastic discovery.

But, should he share it? Would the Humans share it? Can they be trusted?

Soon he and his three friends become entangled in a battle to keep the secret from falling into the evil hands of Mr. Brain, the mysterious ‘Furless one,’ who runs Mission Control on Earth.

But Mr. Brain, who was the first human to talk to the Dolphins and the inventor of Doglish, has a few secrets of his own.

With the help of the President of the whole wild world and Megan, a journalist and animal lover, the dogs struggle to save Man’s destiny and the dog’s too.

“We’re in deep ‘Cat’,” says Winston, using a bit of descriptive ‘Doglish’.

The author is aware that he is writing for an audience that has one hand just inches away from a games console, that’s why this adventure is fast-paced helped along by lots of humor and a constant supply of surprises. Years of experience in television have taught him how important it is to hook an audience, and keep it hooked.

This is a light- hearted children’s Space adventure.

It is 59.000 words long and is aimed at the 10 – 12 years age group.
